You will see the people most active in the social networking space. Social search is a search feature that returns search results incorporating relevant sites that friends, family or colleagues within an organisation have recommended. Once you get to a certain level in your career, you can attribute most new jobs to your network and not your resume. It is always preferable for a hiring manager to reach out to people they trust for recommendations on hires. But many people in our industry don’t know how to network.
